A Very Warm Welcome from Headteacher Suzanne Finlay

It is a great privilege to welcome you to our school website and to share with you what makes St. John's such a special place to learn, grow and belong. We are a caring and inclusive school family where every child is valued as a unique individual and encouraged to let their light shine.

At St. John's, we are committed to providing an excellent education within a nurturing Christian environment. We believe that every child has God-given talents and potential, and we work together to help them flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Our dedicated staff have high expectations for all pupils and are passionate about creating inspiring learning experiences that foster curiosity, confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

Our Christian values of courage, compassion and respect are at the heart of everything we do. They guide our relationships, shape our decision-making and help us to create a community where everyone feels safe, valued and supported. We celebrate diversity, champion inclusion and encourage children to become thoughtful, responsible citizens who make a positive difference in the world around them.

We are proud of our strong partnership with parents, carers, governors, our church and the wider community. By working together, we create the very best opportunities for our children and ensure they are well-prepared for the next stage of their education and beyond.

Whether you are a prospective parent, a current member of our school family or simply visiting our website, I hope it gives you a flavour of the warmth, ambition and sense of belonging that characterise life at St. John's.

If you would like to find out more about our school, we would be delighted to welcome you for a visit.

With best wishes,

Suzanne Finlay
